§ 06b · i · Console · Mobile

The operator’s view of the show

A working prototype of the cross-country director console. Tap any rider to put them on screen, fire a story, show a replay. Designed so the person operating it doesn’t need to know broadcast jargon — plain English, big buttons, one decision at a time.

← All console tools

What it is
The remote director’s single working surface for the cross-country phase. It shows who’s on course, fires graphics, calls replays, and commands the underlying broadcast systems (OBS, Captivate, the replay buffer) on the operator’s behalf.
Who it’s for
One person, remote from the venue, directing the YouTube broadcast solo while the venue crew handles cameras. The console must pass a “grandma test” — operable under show-day pressure without broadcast training.
What it isn’t
Not a video mixer. OBS already handles program/preview, scene switching, and projector outputs — those live on a second monitor. The console is purely awareness + orchestration.
