Title cards, anniversary lockups, ceremonial intermissions. Variable optical-size axis automatically firms up letterforms at small sizes; SOFT axis hardens ductile shapes for broadcast clarity. Weights 600–800 only — anything thinner reads as magazine, not broadcast.

Every label, every name, every score number — lower thirds, leaderboards, score bugs. Always ALL CAPS for rider and horse names (weight 800). Body context at 600. Tabular numerics on by default.

Every score, fault count, ride time. MONO axis locked at 1 for tabular columns; CASL at 0 for geometric broadcast presence. Premium licensed alternates (Söhne Mono, Berkeley Mono) named for designers who want to upgrade further on contracted shows.
All three brand fonts ship under the SIL Open Font License — free to use commercially. Variable-font files (TTF) contain every weight, slant, and axis in a single file; prefer them for broadcast tooling.
